Description

Our Open Spelter Socket is equipped with cotter pin. They are made from high tensile, quenched and tempered cast steel, with a different chemical composition and with extremely high mechanical properties, while galvanization ensures its long-term durability.

This type of end fittings for wire rope sling is made depending on the specific application and the strength required for the lifting set. They are generally used as a straight tension element and are available for wire rope with a diameter from 6mm to 100mm.

The socket is attached to the end of a wire rope cable by pouring zinc or resin to create the termination. This hardens to hold the socket into place.

This type of wire rope slings are used in many wire rope and structural strand termination applications where a high strength, permanent end attachment is required. They are great options because they offer a very efficient attachment.

Our Cable Laid Slings are usually in the form of a mechanically spliced eye. Flemish eye mechanical splices, secured by swaged metal ,provide centerline pull at the eyes. They are more flexible, and the same capacity as single part slings.
